Ally’s AI-Powered Acoustic Monitoring System Chosen for Pioneering Dorset Council Programme

In an exciting development for Dorset’s care sector, Ally has been selected to participate in a new government-funded initiative with Dorset Council and Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, bringing advanced AI-powered acoustic monitoring to local care homes to improve night-time care.

Between nine and 22 homes will take part, receiving £10,000 each to implement Ally’s technology designed to enhance night-time care through responsive alerts.

Ally’s AI resident monitoring system is designed to alert staff in real-time to changes in sound levels, helping reduce intrusive checks and promoting personalised care.

Thomas Tredinnick, CEO and co-founder of Ally, remarked, “We’re thrilled to support Dorset and BCP’s goals in personalised care, providing a solution that elevates response times and resident well-being while reducing intrusions. Our AI resident monitoring system brings caregivers closer to real-time needs, allowing for more efficient, respectful care whilst ensuring residents feel cared for and enjoy a peaceful night’s rest.”

The program aligns with the UK’s Digitising Social Care Programme, aiming to bring modern, sensor-based care to more residents across the country. Read the BBC article in full.
